Eddie Ugboma set to launch Movie/Music Hall Of Fame

Preparations have reached high gear for veteran filmmaker, Chief Eddie Ugboma, to launch his Movie/Music Halls of Fame.The launch/induction ceremony expected to hold in August at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, will see grand patron, patrons, fellows and members inducted.

Preparations have reached high gear for veteran filmmaker, Chief Eddie Ugboma, to launch his Movie/Music Halls of Fame.The launch/induction ceremony expected to hold in August at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, will see grand patron, patrons, fellows and members inducted.

While the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, the chief host, would be one of the special patrons, Alhaji Lai Mohammed would be official guest, as grand patron goes to the Olowu of Owu, Oba Sanya Dosumu, a veteran film producer and director. Oba Dosumu is one of the original producers of Village Headmaster.

Also to be inducted as fellows and patrons are, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, Senator Ben Bruce, Senator Akpabio, Prince Tony Momoh and others.According to statement sent to The Guardian, the facility would be temporarily mounted in a movie centre in Surulere from where it would either be moved to a gallery in Lagos or to the Movie House, Abuja.

Chief Ugboma called the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC), Censors Board, Arts Council, National Theatre Centre of Black and Arts, and Ministry of Information and Culture to support this historic event and also to give a gallery for the history of Movie and Music in the country.
