Exciting Laughter On Lockdown thrills fun seekers in Lagos

Nigerians were treated to hours of good music and comedy recently, as Laughter On Lockdown took the centrestage.
 
In its second year, the Lagos State government, through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture and Zenith Bank, supported the show organised by the Africa Comedy Academy.
 
The show featured live music performances by Faze, Ayra Starr, and Emma-Oh-My-God, as well as comedy by Seyi Law, Destalker, Tolibian, SLK, Kenny Blaq and Aproko.

Speaking on the partnership with Laughter on Lockdown, Deputy Manager, Retail Banking, Zenith Bank, Chile Frank-Udemgba, said: “Zenith Bank is a strong supporter of the Nigeria entertainment industry, youth empowerment, culture, and anything that has to do with promoting happiness. We are particularly interested in Laughter on Lockdown because 2020 was a difficult year for everyone and I think it’s important for us not to forget how to laugh, how to find joy even in the midst of the sadness and losses we experience in the year of the pandemic.”
  
She added: “This is an opportunity to connect with our customers, entertainment industry. We will continue to make ourselves available for more collaboration in the future and we hope to see how best we can promote the Entertainment industry.” 
 
On his part, the show’s organiser, Abdulqadr Otaru, said: “The ultimate goal of this event is to rekindle the spirit of patriotism and to renew hope for Nigerians home and abroad through humour and entertainment.”
