Foundation distributes books, shoes, uniforms to less privileged

As part of an effort aimed at empowering the vulnerable, Sparkle Foundation recently distributed new uniforms, shoes, pairs of socks, school bags, textbooks and exercise books to 52 disadvantaged children from the Iwelepe community in Sagamu, Ogun State on Children’s Day.

Speaking with The Guardian, the founder of the foundation, Mrs. Olasimbo Ojuroye, said a block of two classrooms, which also consists of an upgraded early learning nursery centre, learning materials and teaching aids to improve learning was also provided to Wesley Primary School.

She disclosed that 300 pupils of the school benefited from the programme.

The project was commissioned by the foundation alongside a representative of SUBEB on children’s day.

Expressing her appreciation, special adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Education Mrs. Ronke Shoyombo applauded the efforts of the founder, canvassing more individual, communal, and organisational participation in bridging the educational gap.

Sparkle Foundation is a non-governmental organisation established to reach out to orphans and less privileged children.

The passion is to help every child live healthy, access education and work towards achieving their full potential by providing more holistic care and support for each individual.
