Professor Johnbull

The new episode of the on-going TV comedy series, Professor Johnbull, entitled, “Staff And Awards” comes up on Tuesday night on NTA Network, NTA International (Channel 251 on DSTV) and Startimes with the social satire condemning the attitude of uniformed men who intimidate drivers when asked to pay for a ride in commercial vehicles.

The programme, which is sponsored by Globacom, calls on security agencies to educate their colleagues on the need to pay their bus fares, instead of showing off their uniforms and ranks to drivers and responding, ‘Staff’ (in the South West) and ‘Award’ (in the East).

In ‘Staff And Awards’ trouble starts when Professor Johnbull’s new household member, Boam (Osita Iheme) and Samson (Ogus Baba), claim ‘Award’ in a commercial vehicle, alongside two other men, a Forest Guard and a security guard, who also claimed to be ‘Staff.’ The driver and his conductor, in an attempt to collect the transport fare, resort to self-help by abducting and illegally detaining them.

They are, however, released when Professor Johnbull (Kanayo O. Kanayo) intervenes.

The erudite Professor condemns this act, scolds them for false identity, saying they should not deprive others of their source of income.

Viewers are in for an interesting evening, as the episode which parades regular cast of the programme also shows how Elizabeth (Queen Nwokoye), Professor John bull’s daughter, reported Abadnego (Martins Nebo) to her father over his love proposition to her, which she considers rude.

‘Staff And Award’ will be repeated on Friday at 8.30 p.m. on the same television channels.
