‘Ingredients for building innovative, sustainable businesses’
A book, Business Intelligence Cookbook by Ayodeji Ebadan, is bringing together concepts, tips and principles for entrepreneur to build innovative and sustainable businesses.
The book explores six major sub topics: Rules of Innovation, that is how to activate inner eye to see and leverage difference to excel; purpose of innovation, which include how to make profit and gain market share; guarantee business longevity; rules of work, which is to develop the right ethics to produce desired results; rules of execution, how to increase chances of success and lower risk of failure and customer service hacks, which says: “ Get them, pamper them, keep them or Pack Up!”
The book says that while some companies get away with this due to their size and ability to drag in other innocent people, they do not last. Worse still, small companies with this mentality in their ranks will be kicked out of business in no time.
Customer care starts from when you conceive the idea of the company, even before your first client. You must determine what the customer experience would be like from the first exposure to your brand or product up until when sales is closed and even afterwards.
According to Ebadan, “a lot of times, people misconstrue customer care or service to mean a department that helps organisations placate angry customers, making the other sections lax believing they would not have to interface with disappointed customers. There is nothing more false than this. While some companies get away with this due to their size and ability to drag in other innocent people, they do not last. Worse still, small companies with this mentality in their ranks will be kicked out of business in no time.”
He added, “I am looking to grow the Print on Demand publishing platform into a full-fledged publishing house to serve the whole of sub-Saharan Africa and bridge the gap between people and their dreams. What we have done so far within Nigeria is to help creative writers fulfil their dreams of becoming published authors by introducing an innovative process that makes it possible to produce as few as 50 international quality books.”
Ebadan, a multiple award winning entrepreneur and Founder, Print Doctor Africa, an innovative publishing and technology company, is planning to raise an army of innovative business owners, who will be at the forefront of industry and commerce in Nigeria through the Business Intelligence School.
