Kemi Irinoye’s Okoto for private screening today
The much-anticipated new drama series, titled, Okoto, co- produced by the duo of Oluwakemi Irinoye and Amir Wasiudeen, and directed by Seun Afolabi, is set for a VIP screening.
Okoto is a Libra TV, original series starring Ayo Mogaji, Muyideen Oladapo and seasoned actors such as, Lateef Adedimeji, Bukunmi Oluwashina, Adeaga Bukunmi, Taiwo Ibikunle, Bukky Raji, Dayo Adegbite, Akinola Akano, Mimisola Daniels and Damilola Oni and others.
According to the producer, Irinoye, all roads will lead to the Film House Cinema, Dugbe, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State today, March 31, as the drama is expected to be screened at 6p.m. while red carpet will start at 5p.m..
Okoto is a millennial drive drama that tells the every day experience of an average African youth, their dreams, aspirations, hopes and struggles. It also mirrors their hustle, discouragements and upliftment.
“Okoto tells how life happens to us all, with relatable characters showcasing challenges and situations that happen to average Nigerians with a flavour of what the beautiful city of Ibadan has to offer,” she said.
Irinoye revealed that the production of Okoto took place between November 2019 and February 2020. “We have since then been on post production and now we are ready for release,” she said.
