‎The Scar Radio has marked its sixth anniversary with the launch of Electrolytes, a new music and nightlife event that brought together entertainers, creatives and music enthusiasts in Lagos.

The event, held on July 11 at The Spice Route, Lagos, was organised by SCAR XYZ and powered by The Scar Radio in partnership with Jägermeister, drawing guests to celebrate the online radio platform’s six years of operation.

Among those in attendance were singer W4 and comedian-musician Nasboi, while performances were delivered by DJs Bellami, SKB, Valentino, Big Riki, Instinct, Spizzy, OTB, Xnel and others. Hypemen Holyfaze and Toby Shang also featured, entertaining guests with a mix of Afrobeats, Amapiano, House music and other global sounds.

A highlight of the evening was the cutting of an anniversary cake to commemorate The Scar Radio’s six years, as guests celebrated the platform’s growth and contributions to the entertainment industry.

‎Organisers said the inaugural edition of Electrolytes was conceived as a platform celebrating music, culture and community while connecting creatives and nightlife enthusiasts. The event received support from brands including Jägermeister, Belaire, Lightspeed, MyFlex Tickets and Buzz & Bants, alongside The Scar Production, The Scar Bookings and SDGV Audio.

Following its debut, organisers said another edition of Electrolytes is planned for later in the year as part of efforts to establish it as a recurring feature on Lagos’ entertainment calendar.

‎Founded in 2020 by Fabulous Fabuyi Adeniyi, The Scar Radio operates from Lagos and has network branches in the United States and the United Kingdom. The platform is part of The Scar Global Group, which also comprises The Scar Production, The Scar Bookings, SCAR XYZ and The Scar Accessories. According to the organisers, the radio station has supported emerging creatives and artistes since its establishment.
