Talented Nigerian-American rapper, Joel LivingGod better known as King Joel by his teaming fans have called on the government on the need to support the creative industry it is one of the largest employer of labour and has positive effect on the country’s Gross Domestic Production (GDP).
Speaking on this, King Joel reiterates that there is need for the government to create an effective sector that would cater for the support of the creative industry in terms of a reliable music/film village where filmmakers, musicians can explore in shooting projects rather than leave the shores of the country at all time.
He said ‘ Nothing stops the government from creating an enabling channel where loans can be accessed by artistic directors to further showcase the creatives the country is blessed with’.
It is however pertinent to note that King Joel was one of the Nigerians in the diaspora that supported the Nigerian youths during the peaceful #ENDSARS protest with making available funds, medical services and relief materials to mention amongst others.
