Two of the most beloved Nollywood actors, especially in the Yoruba genre, Odunlade Adekola and Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr. Latin thrilled the people of Ibadan on Sunday as the most popular comedy show organised by Globacom, Glo Laffta Fest, hit the ancient city.

They made their first appearance at the Ibadan edition of the highly celebrated comedy show that has now toured a total of nine cities, including Port Harcourt, Abuja, Enugu, Owerri, Warri, Calabar and Yenegoa in the last few weeks.

Glo Laffta Fest Ibadan was held at the Professor Oritsejolomi Thomas Hall, University of Ibadan (UI), adjudged as the largest indoor event centre in Ibadan.

Odunlade, a Globacom brand ambassador, who was one of the three guest celebrities at the event, proved to be immensely popular with the audience as the crowd went wild when he was called on stage.

After up and coming acts, including Emmanuel Debegene Emmaralo, entertained the audience, the show was formally opened by accomplished comedian, Olufemi Fagade popularly called Omo Baba.

Omo Baba, who was making his debut in the current season of the comedy show, excited the audience by taking them down the memory lane discussing the various dance styles that had reigned in the last two decades.

Fast rising comedian and proponent of music-comedy, Kenny Blaq, also made his first appearance on the show at the Ibadan edition, thrilling the audience with craftily created funny versions of popular songs. He received a rousing applause.

Glo Laffta Fest, Ibadan was anchored by Nollywood’s top actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie and Ghana’s top actress, Juliet Ibrahim.
