Award-winning Nigerian filmmaker and cinematographer, Oluyinka Davids, has directed a new film, 5th Anniversary and would hit the cinemas soon. The South African trained filmmaker has made a respectable name for himself through hard work and passion for his job in the industry. He has directed many music videos both locally and internationally.

5th Anniversary is shot from the stables of iFocus Pictures Limited. While giving insight to the movie, Davids informed that 5th Anniversary is about a young, prim and proper Nigerian couple, who gets invaded by a local thug on their 5th wedding anniversary. Upon the realization that he is in the wrong house, the couple’s topmost secrets were unveiled and these begin to threaten their marriage.

According to Davids, “the twists and turns in the story makes it an interesting, funny, thought-provoking and classy film to watch, not only the cerebrally savvy, but also for anyone and everyone who loves creativity and pays attention to details.

“We shot on RED (Dragon and Epic-Weapon) cameras, which are at the moment one of the industry’s highest standard cameras alongside other production gadgets that meet up to cinema standards, both locally and internationally. We are presently at the post-production stage, and plans are ongoing regarding distribution and marketing. The movie, which will be launched soon promises to be a blockbuster,” he said.

On the choice of cast, Davids stated that in the quest to achieve the best, he carefully selected the cast and crew, who he said are not necessarily the biggest names in the industry, but those that have carved a niche for themselves. They include, Kunle Remi, Seun Osigbesan, Segun Dangote, Omowunmi Dada, Muyideen Oladapo, Lepacious Bose and Mecoyo Collins.
