The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is set for its writer’s studio.

Applications are open for Canadian and international screenwriters interested in the five-day intensive professional development programme, which will, however, hold online in March 2021. Supported in part by TIFF’s Share Her Journey Campaign, the talent development programme focuses on screenwriting and the creative process.

Participants are expected to work extensively with Canadian and international experts and script editors over the course of the week.

TIFF Writers’ Studio is a professional development programme offering a unique opportunity for talented screenwriters to hothouse their projects and build their understanding of the screen industry in a collaborative environment. Interested screenwriters have up until December 18 to apply.
