The female spectra seem to be gradually evolving in the event host business and this era-defining inclusion is somewhat becoming a match with the male counterparts. About a decade ago, one could barely mention five female MCs in Africa as the role appeared to be dominated by the male folks – but that has changed, the soft gender has fully gained ground in the scene.

Nancy Isime
Bold, beautiful and elegant personality with a poise, Nancy’s evolution is one that is credited to her consistency and relevance in the showbiz. When it comes to delivery, expect nothing less than average from this delectable figure.

Nancy had her pathway with HipTV’s Trending show, a tv show she’s been hosting for almost over a decade now. Not remaining in that single lane, Isime had featured in quite a number of movies and her acting game had always earned her some good reputations over the years.

Another refreshing angle of Nancy’s lifestyle is her fitness – for those that are ardent followers, this is no gist as she portrays more of her keeping fit activities on her social media accounts.

Toke Makinwa
The name sure rings a bell – ‘baby girl for life’ as she likes to call herself is a big shot in the entire entertainment industry. From a radio girl to a popular figure and celebrity brands clamour for; this is not a transition visible to everyone.

Toke’s actual journey kicked off in 2010 while at the radio station, Rhythm 93.7 FM where she hosted a radio show called “The Morning Drive”. On air, she was popularly known as “Tokstarr”, the same name she still maintained as her Twitter handle. From there, she made a television appearance as the host of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria in the year 2012.

Then she co-hosted Flytime TV’s 3 Live Chicks, with ace media personality Tosyn Bucknor and Oreka Godis.Toke Makinwa has hosted numerous notable events, including the 2013 Future and City People Entertainment Awards, as well as the 2014 Headies Awards. Toke Makinwa lost both of her parents to a fire accident when she was just 8 years old. She released her memoir “On Becoming” in November 2016.

Berla Mundi
Berla Addardey Mundi, (born 1 April 1988) is a Ghanaian media personality,women’s advocate and voice artist. She co-hosted the 20th VGMA with Kwami Sefa Kayi. She began her media career after becoming the second runner up at the 2010 Miss Maliaka beauty pageant. She worked with GHOne TV a subsidiary of the EIB Network for 5 years.She is currently with TV3 Ghana a subsidiary of Media General Ghana Limited. Berla hosted reality shows and corporate events.

She hosts Africa’s first syndicated show on DSTV, Moment with MO. She was recognized as the most influential Ghanaian in 2017 by Avance Media. In 2017 She won The Most Stylish Media Personality at the Glitz Style Awards Founded by Claudia Lumor.

MC Charlene
Cameroonian-born MC Charlene ranks as one of the biggest female MCs/Hostess in the Afrobeat music industry in Europe and Scandinavia and has plans of getting bigger, better and taking her country Cameroon to higher heights in the domain of entertainment. It’s no surprise that the Energy Goddess MC Charlene emerged winner of the MC/Host of the year at the 2020 edition of Muzikol Music Awards(MUMA) in Cameroon despite being the only MC nominated outside Cameroon. This will be her second award as she was also crowned winner at the 2019 Scandinavia Afrobeats Music Awards (SAMA Awards) under the category for MC Of The Year!

Apart from being an excellent Hostess/MC and Hype queen! She is a certified chef, has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, an entrepreneur, a dance instructor in Norway and owns a sports brand called “ Sweat like This” Fitness. She speaks English, Norwegian and Pidgin English. MC Charlene has plans on taking entertainment and music to a whole different level.

MC Charlene also has her own weekly show on Instagram called “Chitchat with MC Charlene”, which she birthed during the pandemic. Lyndall Jarvis
Lyndall Jarvis is a South African model and television presenter. Born and raised in Cape Town, her mother is from England and her father is from South Africa. Jarvis started modeling at the age of 5. She was FHM South Africa Sexiest Woman of the Year in 2009. She provided the likeness of the enemy character Laughing Octopus in the 2008 video game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. In 2014, Jarvis married South African professional surfer Jordy Smith.
