OWEDE ANTHONY AGBAJILEKE is a journalist with over 15 years’ experience covering politics, the judiciary, entertainment, parliamentary affairs, among other beats. He currently works as the Education Correspondent for The Guardian. And holds a degree in Mass Communication from Delta State University, Abraka. He began his journalism career at Sunshine Daily Watch, Akure, where he worked as a rookie reporter. He has since held positions at The Hope Newspaper, New Nigerian Compass, Lagos and BusinessDay. He has participated in numerous professional training programmes across the country, organised by organisations such as UNESCO, MTN Nigeria, PLAC, the Journalism Clinic, Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism, among others. In 2017, he emerged as the first runner-up in the Partnership for Advocacy in Child and Family Health (PACFaH) Award.
