Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has moved to strengthen his administration with the nomination of six new commissioners and the appointment of four political advisers.

The six commissioner-designates are Lucky Barau of Gurara LGA, Isah Wakili of Bosso, Dr Isah Adamu of Kontagora, Emmanuel Alamu of Magama, Shuaibu Saidu Kaboji of Mashegu and Mohammed Danladi Garba of Borgu.

Bago also approved the appointment of Nma Kolo as Chief Political Adviser, while Yahaya Emilugi, Yusuf Tagwai and Salman Yusuf were named Special Advisers on Political Matters for Zones A, B and C respectively.

According to the Secretary to the Niger State Government, the appointments are aimed at strengthening governance, improving service delivery and ensuring wider representation across the state.

The six commissioner-designates will, however, have to appear before the Niger State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation before assuming office.
