The Gombe State House of Assembly has received the names of three commissioner-designates from Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for screening and approval.

The nominees are Dr Ahmed Wali Doho, Nasiru Adamu Degri and Dr Muhammad A. Bello.

The development was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, announcing a fresh set of appointments approved by the governor.

The appointments also include two Special Advisers and four Senior Special Assistants, expanding the political and administrative team supporting the state government.

The newly appointed Special Advisers are Abdulmalik Jibrin and Mohammed Nuhu.

Those appointed as Senior Special Assistants II on Political and Community Engagement are Jibrin M. Ali, Sadiq Abubakar, popularly known as BB Kumo, John Launa and Danlami Sanda.

According to the statement, the appointments take immediate effect, while the three Commissioner-designates will remain subject to the approval of the State House of Assembly.

The latest appointments come as the Yahaya administration continues to strengthen its governance structure, with the new officials expected to contribute to the coordination of government activities and engagement with communities across the state.

Following their screening and approval by the lawmakers, the Commissioner-designates are expected to assume their respective portfolios as members of the state executive council.
