XEJet Limited has unveiled plans to expand its international operations, with Saudi Arabia as its target effective quarter one 2027.
A statement by the Brand & Communications Manager, XEJet Limited, Juliet Atikpekpe, said that the airline was targeting the business and leisure market in addition to Umrah, which can be performed at any time of the year.
Atikpekpe stated that the airline is introducing new aircraft to support its expansion drive, stressing that the new aircraft provide XEJet with the seat capacity and cabin space that a long international sector requires.
The statement added: “Route details, including the Saudi airports to be served, schedules, and fares, will be announced separately. Services will begin subject to regulatory approvals in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
“Saudi Arabia is the first international market; business, leisure, and Umrah travel are the key sectors to be served, and we are confident that there is year-round demand between the two key city pairs.
“The new aircraft will give us the capacity and the right cabin mix for that sector. At home, we are adding routes so that passengers in more Nigerian cities can connect to it. We will also be boosting connectivity during the upcoming Christmas and New Year period. We will share schedules and fares as soon as the approvals are in place,” said Group Chief Operating Officer, XEJet Sukhjinder Mann.
