The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has directed Truck Transit Parks (TTP) Limited to enforce the Nigeria Export Proceed (NXP) as a prerequisite for the movement of all export trucks to the ports effective this month.
In a notice issued to maritime industry stakeholders, TTP announced that all export trucks must comply with the NXP procedure before gaining access to port facilities.
TTP noted that the move is part of the efforts to streamline export operations and improve efficiency within the port system.
According to the notice, stakeholders are urged to familiarise themselves with the new requirement and ensure strict compliance to prevent disruptions in cargo processing and movement.
The NXP form, issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is a critical document for tracking foreign exchange inflows from export transactions.
“The NPA has directed that effective February 2025, the implementation of the NXP will be mandatory for the movement of all export trucks to the port.
“This measure is aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing the efficiency of export processes. To ensure a smooth transition, all stakeholders are kindly required to familiarise themselves with the NXP requirements and adhere strictly to the new procedures.
“Compliance is essential to avoid disruption in the processes and transportation of export goods. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to ensuring seamless port operations,” the notice read.
