A firm, Afrinvest Limited has disclosed plans to promote Islamic investment products as parts of effort to widen access to ethical and Shariah-compliant products opportunities in Kano.
The Manager of Afrinvest’s Kano Office, Mr Kabir Ibrahim, disclosed this on Wednesday during an investment awareness roadshow organised by the company in Kano.
Ibrahim said the campaign designed to create awareness about investment opportunities in the capital market and educate residents on how to make informed investment decisions while adhering to their religious and ethical values.
He said the company would particularly promote its Islamic investment products, including the Halal Fund and Islamic estate planning services.
“The company will create awareness on various investment instruments available to the public and how they can generate returns from their investments.
“Afrinvest has been in existence for 30 years, and we have been operating in Kano for the past two years,” he said.
According to him, the roadshow was also aimed at deepening Afrinvest’s presence in Kano and reassuring residents of the company’s commitment to providing investment solutions tailored to their needs.
“Afrinvest is doing a proper activation to let people know that there are different investment instruments they can use to have returns on their investments,” he added.
The manager described Afrinvest as a capital market holding company with operations spanning various segments of the financial market.
He said the company had about seven subsidiaries, including Afrinvest Asset Management, Afrinvest Securities, Afrinvest Trustees and Afrinvest Consulting.
Ibrahim explained that one of the company’s subsidiaries assists organisations in raising capital, while its microfinance arm was currently being developed.
He urged members of the public to explore investment opportunities that suit their financial goals and seek professional advice before committing their funds.
“We want people to know that they can invest through Shariah-compliant methods, including estate planning and the Halal Fund,” Ibrahim said.
Afrinvest encouraged residents interested in Shariah-compliant investment options to take advantage of its Islamic investment products and seek appropriate professional guidance to maximise their investment decisions.
