The annual recognition celebrates Nigerian companies that are driving resilience, innovation, job creation, and national development across key sectors of the economy. The 2026 edition, themed “Building Resilience, Driving Growth: Nigerian Companies Shaping the Next Decade,” will be unveiled at a special awards and networking luncheon on August 21, 2026 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

Otubela brings decades of distinguished leadership as an entrepreneur and educationist of note. He is the President, National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, (NAPPS), and the Founder/CEO of Lagooz Schools, one of Nigeria’s leading educational institutions known for academic excellence, innovation in learning, and youth development.

Under his stewardship, Lagooz Schools has set benchmarks in curriculum delivery, technology integration, and talent grooming, impacting thousands of Nigerian students.

As an entrepreneur, Otubela has championed private sector participation in education and has been a strong advocate for policies that enable businesses to thrive while contributing to nation-building.

In his role as Chairman of the 2026 Top 50, Otubela will provide strategic guidance for the selection process, deliver the chairman’s address at the event, and lead conversations on how Nigerian companies can deepen impact through innovation, governance, and social responsibility.
