Get Guardian on GoogleThe Primrose International Awards has reaffirmed its commitment to recognising individuals and organisations making significant contributions to social development and humanitarian causes across the world.
Founded by author, media personality and child advocate Sandra Oluwatosin Eshemokai Odufaderin, the awards platform seeks to celebrate excellence beyond commercial success and political influence by spotlighting those driving positive change in their communities.
According to the organisers, the initiative recognises outstanding individuals and organisations that have dedicated their resources, expertise and leadership to improving lives through impactful interventions.
Sandra said the vision behind the awards is rooted in her passion for storytelling, advocacy and child welfare, noting that the platform prioritises initiatives that protect vulnerable groups and create opportunities for future generations.
She explained that the awards place particular emphasis on recognising women leaders and organisations whose work has produced measurable impact in areas such as child welfare, education, mental health and socio-economic development.
The organisers said eligible organisations include those providing educational opportunities for underserved children, expanding access to mental health support, and implementing programmes that promote sustainable economic empowerment for families and communities.
Beyond recognising excellence, the Primrose International Awards also aims to create opportunities for collaboration by bringing together business leaders, development partners, humanitarian organisations and other changemakers to exchange ideas and build partnerships.
Speaking on the vision of the initiative, Sandra said recognition serves as a catalyst for greater impact.
“Recognition is a form of fuel. When we honour those who change the world, we don’t just reward the past; we inspire the future,” she said.
She added that the platform is designed to ensure that individuals and organisations making meaningful contributions to society receive the visibility and support needed to expand their impact across communities.
