The Nigerian stock market closed on a downturn yesterday as investors lost N3.28 trillion in market value following renewed selloff in major bluechips.

The decline reflected widespread profit-taking and sell-offs across several sectors, with market breadth closing negatively as 36 stocks recorded price depreciation against 20 gainers.
