The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), will today, commence the 30th edition of the Lagos International Trade Fair.

The Opening Ceremony is scheduled to take place today by 10am at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos, will see the trade fair run for 10 days to close on Sunday 13th November, 2016 at the same venue by 3pm prompt.

Director General of the LCCI, Muda Yusuf said: “In addition to the General Interest Fair, the yearly international business event will also feature the Business-2-Business Corporate Exhibition at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos between Tuesday 8th and Thursday 10th November, 2016 starting 9am daily. While Wednesday 9th November, 2016 will be the day to host the International Investment Conference at the same venue.”

Yusuf added “The exhibition will also facilitate networking amongst exhibitors and between exhibitors and visitors. Because we are expecting a high traffic of visitors to come and take advantage of the networking opportunities and discounted prices. Corporate organisations ranging from Multinational Corporations, Indigenous Conglomerates and Financial Institutions as well as SMEs have indicated interest in participate at the exhibition.

“Exhibitors from China, Japan, Ghana, Kenya, Egypt, Cameroun, the U.S, Pakistan and some countries in the E.U, just to mention a few.While the conference, with the theme “Positioning the Nigerian Economy for Diversification and Sustainable Growth” will create a platform to discuss strategies for economic diversification and business sustainability”.

Yusuf also emphasized that relevant agencies and departments of the Government will also be available to exhibit and also attend to other exhibitors and visitors.

He stated that agencies that have confirmed attendance to provide information and educate exhibitors and visitors on available opportunities and areas of Government support are Bank of Industry (BOI), NEPC among others.
