Stakeholders in the global energy industry will gather in Abuja from July 5 to 9, 2026, for the 25th edition of NOG Energy Week 2026, with a focus on boosting investment, strengthening infrastructure and improving energy resilience.
Organisers said the conference will centre on practical strategies to support Nigeria and Africa’s role in global energy security, amid shifting geopolitics and supply chain disruptions.
The programme outlines eight thematic areas aimed at addressing supply stability, infrastructure gaps and long-term competitiveness across the energy value chain. Discussions will also emphasise partnerships, regional collaboration and financing as countries seek to diversify energy sources and attract capital.
Nigeria and other African producers are positioning themselves as reliable suppliers of oil, gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) to international markets.
The conference will examine how to strengthen this role through coordinated upstream, midstream and downstream development.
Gas is expected to feature prominently, with sessions focusing on its role in industrialisation and export growth.
Organisers also plan discussions on technology and innovation, including the use of digital tools to improve efficiency, optimise production and respond to rising global demand.
There will also be sessions on renewable energy and decarbonisation, reflecting the need to balance energy expansion with climate considerations, the organisers said.
The event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders and financiers, including the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri, and the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Bayo Ojulari, amongst others, to address key sector constraints and identify actionable solutions.
Expected speakers include senior government officials and executives from across the energy industry, alongside representatives of multilateral institutions.
Organisers said the conference will serve as a platform for deal-making and cross-border collaboration, with dedicated sessions and networking forums designed to unlock investment and scale production.
