Piggyvest said it now serves over six million users, some of whom have benefited from its N3 trillion disbursed in the 10 years since 2016.

This was disclosed during the savings and investment platform’s 10th anniversary in Lagos.

Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer, Piggyvest, Koshua Chibueze, giving key data points on how money has moved through Piggyvest over the past decade, said the platform processes over N61,000 in savings every second, up from N49,000 the previous year.

He said users save toward goals ranging from rent and vacations to business investments and gadgets.

Chibueze emphasised that millions of people choose discipline, while pointing to a user who had saved every single day for 522 consecutive days as evidence of the culture of discipline the platform has helped to build.

Chief Executive Officer of PocketApp, Ayo Akinola, acknowledged the role of regulatory partners in Piggyvest’s journey.
