Cash-less Policy

The impact of the various technological innovations and advancements in the payments system, particularly how payments and banking are done today would be brought to fore at the 2016 retreat of the Committee of Electronic Banking Industry Heads (CeBIH).

Tagged: “Disruptive Technology and the Future of Payment”, the event will hold from December 1 and 2, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The Deputy Governor, Operations, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Adebayo Adelabu and Chairman of First Bank Nigeria Limited, Mrs. Ibukun Awosika will lead banking and electronic payments executives to examine the impact of disruptive technology and future of payment in the country.

While Adelabu and the Chairman of Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institution, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, are the Special Guests of Honour, Awosika will be the Keynote Speaker.

Presentations by chief executives of leading electronic payment service providers in Nigeria and the United Kingdom would follow, including Managing Director, iAxept United Kingdom Limited, Risto Savolainen; Managing Director, Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc, Ade Shonubi, Group Managing Director, Interswitch Nigeria Limited, Mitchell Elegbe; and Managing Director, Unified Payments Services Limited, Agada Apochi.
