The Chairman of Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc, Dr Taiwo Afolabi, has emphasised the importance of aligning operational excellence with strong ethical values and workplace sustainability.
Speaking at the company’s recent annual management retreat, themed ‘Reimagining Excellence: Ethics, Thrive and Sustain’, held in Lagos for top executives, regional managers, station managers, and key stakeholders, Afolabi said that ethical leadership was central to the company’s growth and long-term success.
Afolabi, who was represented at the occasion by the SIFAX Group Coordinating Director, Wunmi Eniola-Jegede, commended the board, management and the entire workforce for consistently projecting the company in a positive light and maintaining high operational standards across its stations nationwide.
According to him, sustaining operational excellence without compromising ethical conduct was fundamental to building stakeholder trust, enhancing competitiveness and ensuring long-term business resilience.
He added: “This retreat is not only about strategy; it is also about shaping the leaders who will carry our vision forward and ensure that SAHCO continues to thrive with integrity, responsibility and long-term impact.”
Also, the Managing Director of SAHCO, Adenike Aboderin, attributed the company’s achievements to disciplined leadership, strong corporate governance and robust operational systems.
She further urged leaders to avoid complacency and continuously raise performance benchmarks.
She maintained that SAHCO’s strategic focus must remain on operational efficiency, revenue growth, business expansion, and sustainability, adding that these goals could only be achieved through bold thinking, accountable leadership and the consistent delivery of value to customers.
