Cornerstone Insurance Plc Foundation has supported ActionAid Nigeria with N1 million to assist out-of-school children in the Badagry area of Lagos State and others to return to school.

The underwriting firm said this comes as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme to enhance the educational system in the country and ensure Nigerian children have access to quality education.

Speaking on the activity of the NGO, the Country Director of the NGO, Ene Obi, said ActionAid Nigeria was part of ActionAid International, a global movement of people working together to further human rights for all and defeat poverty.

Obi said with the donation, the organisation would respond to the call of children in Aivoji community, Badagry, for support with educational and learning materials.
