Vice Chancellor of Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK), Prof Muhammad Zaiyan Umar, has assured of his administration’s readiness to turn the institution around and ensure that it churned out graduates who can globally compete with their counterparts.

Umar who recently assumed office as third vice chancellor of the institution said he would continue from where his predecessor stopped.

He said: “I acknowledge the tremendous strides of my predecessor and promised to take the university to greater heights.

He promised to sustain the new programmes recently introduced, especially the School of Sciences, and appealed to all staff to discharge their duties effectively and efficiently to aid transformation of the institution.

The new vice chancellor was the immediate past Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Sokoto State University.
