The Minister of State Defence, Bello Matawalle, has expressed gratitude after he was appointed as Deputy Director, Security and Intelligence I, 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council.
Matawalle had served in the 2023 Presidential Campaign as Zonal Coordinator, North-West of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, where he had the privilege of working across the seven states of the North-West in support of President Bola Tinubu’s 2023 presidential bid. According to him, that experience remains one of the most important chapters of his political career, “and I am humbled by the opportunity to serve again.”
With the new appointment, the minister vowed to redouble his efforts, deepen his commitment and bring greater energy, experience, and strategic thinking to the task ahead. “The lessons of the last campaign, together with the relationships built over the years, have prepared me for the demands and responsibilities of the assignment before us.,” he said in a statement on Sunday.
He further stated that since the 2023 election, his commitment to promoting the Renewed Hope Administration of President Tinubu has not stopped. Part of it included founding the Tinubu Again Movement, a nationwide movement to communicate the administration’s achievements, policies and programmes across Nigeria.
The minister thanked the APC leadership for the confidence placed in him and for the opportunity to serve as part of the team entrusted with this important national assignment.
“I will work closely with the Director-General and every member of the Presidential Campaign Council in a spirit of unity and professionalism. I will give this assignment my very best and remain focused on the collective objective of securing victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the All Progressives Congress in 2027.
“I am ready for the task. I accept the appointment fully and will redouble my efforts to ensure that the confidence reposed in me is justified by results.
“With renewed commitment to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda and our collective national project, I accept this appointment and pledge my loyalty, diligence and dedication to the assignment,” Matawalle said.
