Boys Quarters Africa, a nongovernmental organization, which over the years has been leading in the struggle against physical and sexual violence, across different spectrums and focal areas, will on Tuesday, visit the Executive Secretary, Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT).
According to Solomon O. Ayodele, the Founder of Boys Quarters Africa, apart from the visit, the agency would also use the opportunity to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and pledge cards to initiate the conversation around mobilizing men as allies towards ending violence against women and girls.
Ayodele also explained that this project will afford the organization the opportunity to unveil her Innovative Solution in combating sexual and gender-based violence, especially when it’s perpetrated against women and girls.
In his words, he said ‘We built the SABI Misogynistic Web app as an on-the-go solution to help Men check their mindset and go on to take training that’d help them become better individuals for themselves and eventually for the society as a whole.’ He further stated that the solution has been built with a question-like approach that enables Men to go through in two minutes and would be able to clearly understand where he stands.
This solution is one of its kind globally and a viable tool for combating sexual and gender-based violence. Ayodele mentioned that the solution has been utilized by at least 500 Pilot testers and will be pushed out to the wider market in the coming weeks.
