Dedicated to promoting a more gender-responsive & equitable health care system

As the world marks International Women’s Day, a renowned event dedicated to championing the advancement of women’s rights and gender equality, EHA Clinics affirms its commitment to women’s health and their right to high-quality primary healthcare.

This year’s theme ‘break the bias’ places the responsibility to acknowledge that communities and ultimately countries are only as strong as the health of their women. Therefore, a collective effort is required to harness the potential of women for the ripple effect it holds that leads to better nutrition and health of both the family unit and society.

Commenting on the significance of breaking the bias, Adam Thompson, Chief Executive Officer, EHA Clinics said, ‘EHA Clinics recognizes and celebrates all women and girls around the world, in all of their diversity. Gender equality and the empowerment of women have long been a part of our identity as we not only seek to create environments that help women succeed professionally, ensure women’s leadership and impactful work across the organization, we also have invested in programs such as the innovative IONA® Care, a non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT) for pregnant women which estimates the risk of a fetus having Down’s syndrome (T21), offers an early diagnosis of a likely risk of sickle cell disease as well as fetal sex determination from as early as 10 weeks with no risk of miscarriage.’

In response to the event, Dr. Anthonia Hananiya, MD, FAAP, Chief Medical Officer, VP Clinical Affairs, EHA Clinics says, “Women and girls are effective leaders and change-makers, their participation as gatekeepers of homes across all segments of the population results in more effective sustainable outcomes. Continuing to examine constraints as well as presenting opportunities for improved quality healthcare remains a focus for us here at EHA Clinics.”

As we look to tomorrow and the years ahead, we stand in celebration of the human rights of all women and girls across the globe. Today brings with it a renewed sense of dedication, and commitment. We also appreciate our women staff who are dedicated to promoting a more gender-responsive & equitable health care system.

We will continue to strive to empower women and girls. We will continue to address the growing demand for access to affordable, high-quality healthcare in the country.

To commemorate today, we have an outstanding lineup of an All-female client-facing clinical team on duty. Our aim is to educate, advocate, and break any gender bias relating to healthcare providers.
As we have reiterated in the past, EHA Clinics focuses on providing technology-enabled primary healthcare services and programs that target all segments of the population.
Happy International Women’s Day!
