Zamsat travel agency setting out to overhaul the Hajj pilgrimage

Muslims

For decades, millions of Muslims embarking on the sacred Hajj pilgrimage have navigated a process often fraught with logistical friction, opaque pricing structures, sudden currency surges and missing ground support in Saudi Arabia.

Now, a newly launched venture backed by prominent religious scholars is setting out to address those systemic shortcomings.

Zamsat Travel & Tours, led by prominent cleric, Imam of the Itihadul-Islam Religious Organization in New York, Ahmad Abdulkareem Assobahi Alatunshe, has unveiled a operational blueprint aimed at transforming the pilgrimage from a stressful administrative feat into an authentic spiritual journey.

Operating across North America and West Africa, the firm promises full financial transparency, continuous digital tracking and strict adherence to regulations set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Speaking at the announcement, Imam Alatunshe underscored that the organization’s founding philosophy relies on viewing the facilitation of pilgrimage as a sacred obligation rather than a purely commercial undertaking.

“The idea behind Zamsat Travel & Tours was born from a sincere desire to serve the guests of Allah with excellence, honesty, and compassion,” said Alatunshe, citing Quranic injunctions calling believers to the ancient rites. “Our philosophy is built on three principles, Integrity, Excellence and Service to Allah’s Guests. At Zamsat, every pilgrim is treated like family.”

He noted that under the scheme, pilgrims will receive comprehensive packages that pair spiritual preparation with logistical oversight.

“Our key features include, practical workshops covering both ritual observance and local laws. Scholar-led delegations accompanying groups through Makkah, Madinah and the holy sites and visa processing, comprehensive health and luggage insurance, dedicated transport and verified hotel bookings.

He added that the initiative comes at a critical time for the international travel sector, noting that volatile foreign exchange rates and shifting global economic conditions have frequently led to mid-season price hikes for intending pilgrims.

Zamsat’s leadership says it intends to counter this through early financial planning, pre-negotiated rates with Saudi service providers and a strict policy against hidden costs.

“Our promise is simple: no hidden charges, no false promises, only honest service,” Alatunshe added, invoking the legacy of the Prophet Muhammad as Al-Amin (The Trustworthy) as the organization’s operational benchmark.

To address common anxieties among families remaining at home, the tour operator is integrating real-time messaging platforms to broadcast itinerary updates, hotel check-ins and emergency announcements.

By marrying modern digital tracking with traditional religious hospitality, the initiative hopes to establish a new benchmark for ethical travel management in the region.

The company insists its benchmark for success will not rest on volume, but on the qualitative experience of those returning from the Holy Land.

“Our success will not be measured by the number of pilgrims we register, but by the number who return home satisfied and spiritually fulfilled,” Alatunshe said. “If our pilgrims return with stronger faith and complete confidence in our service, then we will know our efforts have been blessed.”
