It was testimonies all the way at the 2015/2016 valedictory and graduation ceremony of Edgewood College, Lekki, Lagos, organised in honour of 30 graduating students of the secondary arm and A’ Level foundation programme.
The ceremony attended by family members and friends of the graduands featured various presentations by the outgoing students, who in their respective remarks maintained that their learning experience though rigorous, was worthwhile.
According to one of the graduands, Jude Omogbon, whose remarks astonished guests at the ceremony, “I found my voice and deeper knowledge of Christ in this college. I hardly forgive people, but here I learnt how to love and forgive. I have been truly rebuilt for good.”
Outgoing head girl of the school, Adaeze Okorie, said she has been groomed to explore opportunities around the world, and “I can compete favourably with my contemporaries across the globe.”
For Okungbowa Osakwe, “Edgewood represented the world on a smaller scale. I experienced it all here. I’m ready for the world.”
Another graduand, Chukwu Sonia who benefitted from the college’s scholarship, said, “I have grown spiritually, mentally and academically during my secondary education sojourn in this college. And I’m confident my future would be bright.”
