Over a thousand delegates are expected at the Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) 2025 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The five-day event holds from May 19 to 23.
Chairman of the NPRW 2025 National Planning Committee, Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, disclosed, “this year’s NPRW promises to be a convergence of ideas, people and opportunities for our profession. From the roundtables to the cultural showcases, we are celebrating the essence and future of PR in Nigeria.”
The conference’s keynote address would be delivered by renowned tax expert, Prof. Taiwo Oyedele, during the opening plenary.
Some of the expected events holding are, Public Relations stakeholders’ roundtable with traditional rulers; NPRW Undergraduates Forum, which is aimed at grooming the next generation of PR professionals and the NIPR yearly general meeting, including council elections to elect new national officers.
There are also sessions led by top communication scholars, consultants, and corporate leaders, including Prof. Emmanuel Dandaura, Yakubu Lamai, Omoniyi Ibietan, Tolulope Olorundero, among others.
A major highlight will be the Investiture of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umoh Enoh, as a Patron of NIPR; a recognition of his administration’s support for communication and development.
