Omojafor, AAAN president, others pay tribute to Shobanjo @ 80

Chairman , STB McCann, Steve Omojafor; President Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Lanre Adisa, were among the distinguished marketing and communications professionals that paid tributes to the advertising Czar, Biodun Shobanjo, in commemoration of his 80th birthday.Tagged, An Evening of Tributes for Dr Biodun Shobanjo, the event was organised by Marketing Edge.

According to Omojafor, ‘Surulere was the hub of advertising in those days. Dress code was so smart that people mistook us for bankers.” Saying Shobanjo’s feat is unequalled, he added he is good at collaboration and hired the best.

He added, “80, what I tell him is to slow down.” Co-founder and Group Managing Director of SO&U Limited, Udeme Ufot, describe Shobanjo as a man of unparalleled vision and discipline.

Having worked with him, he said Shobanjo contributed immensely to his successes. He recalled his trip to Germany that was facilitated by Shobanjo. He said the trip changed his life.

Founder of X3M Ideas and former President, Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Steve Babaeko, noted Shobanjo was a man of excellence and committed cheerful giver.

President of AAAN, Lanre Adisa, shared invaluable lessons learned under his mentorship and the books he read while working with him. He said he would adopt his nuggets in AAAN.

CEO Ladybird Advertising, Bunmi Oke lauded Shobanjo’s resilience and generosity.
