Oil marketer rebrands, commissions new outfit

One of the leading oil marketing companies in Nigeria, Fatgbems Petroleum, has commissioned a new filling station and established a new brand identity. The event, which took place at Ojodu-Berger, Lagos, recently had the Speaker, Ogun State.

One of the leading oil marketing companies in Nigeria, Fatgbems Petroleum, has commissioned a new filling station and established a new brand identity. The event, which took place at Ojodu-Berger, Lagos, recently had the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Suraj Adekunbi, Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resource, Lagos State, Wale Olowu, who cut the commissioning tape.

Other dignitaries present included Lagos State Fire Service chief, Gideon Adelekan, chairman of Fatgbem Petroleum company, Mr Ajibola Gbemisola, and Director of Finance for Fatgbems company, Adebayo Gbemisola.

In his address, the chairman of the company, Gbemisola said, “Our new brand identity is not a change of direction. Rather, it is a restatement of our values and our strong commitment to our customers as drivers of our business.”

He also disclosed that the company, which started business from a humble beginning in 1986, with just one fuel station at Ejigbo, Lagos, now has a tank farm and several stations across Lagos and other states. He stated that Fatgbems Petroleum was planning to expand to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

With the aim of aligning with Lagos State Government’s vision of transforming the state into a mega city status, Gbemisola said Fatgbems Petroleum has invested in a modern-structured station, which meets diverse and multiple needs of its customers in a one-stop portfolio.

“Apart from aligning with the thoughts of Lagos State Government in transforming the state into a mega city status, we also feel that customers should buy fuel in an environment that is conducive, hence the investment in a modern station,” he said.

The event also included the unveiling of the company’s new logo by the Executive Officer of Fatgbems Petroleum, Alaji Kabir Gbemisola. He explained that each part of the logo carried its own unique meaning, adding that the payoff line ‘Driven by you!’ is a reassurance and reminder to the company that the customers are the centre of their business, which requires the to render exceptional service delivery at all times.

“Overtime, we have developed a distinct identity and quality service, and especially fidelity to our customers in providing quality products even in difficult times,” said Gbemisola.

Following the chairman’s speech was the inauguration of the station and the symbolic sale to launch the station, which became officially opened to the public.
