ORS partners hair care professionals, trains 8000 quarterly
ORS, Organic Root Stimulator, produced by African Consumer Care Limited recently trained 32,000 hairstylists on active education, trends and proper use of ORS products across 36 states in Nigeria per quarter.
The Business Head, Sub-Saharan Africa region, Mr. Sanjay Kashyap, made this known at the 2019 National Hairstylists Appreciation Day in Lagos.
Kashyap said, “we trained 8,000 hairstylists every quarter of the year. We are honouring hairstylists who make artful styles possible. A talented hairstylist will not only make you look good but also make you feel good.”
Speaking further on the brand’s effort to entrench best hair care practice among professionals across Nigeria, he said the brand was driving this at the state and national levels of the hairstylists associations, via education support.
Kashyap said, “we engage 8000 stylists on a quarterly basis through zonal meetings. This unique platform has afforded stylists a closer working relationship with the ORS brand, which in turn has given us a platform to drive product knowledge and usage.
He stated that all products made in Nigeria were evaluated across accredited salons before sales occur, adding, “we are actively involved with our distributors in terms of the perfect product fit for the Nigerian female consumer.”
The over 100 hairstylists present at the event lauded the ORS brand for its support through active education and product usage.
President of Lagos State Barbers, Hairdressers Cosmetologists Association (LABHCA), Mrs. Ijaoba Oladipupo urged ORS brand to ensure sustainability of the yearly programme to foster comradeship among the stylists.
Mrs. Oladipupo, however, charged ORS to issue certificate to those the brand has trained in order to reassure their customers that they are well trained to handle and use ORS brands.
Also, President of National Association of Hairdressers & Cosmetologists- NASHCO, Mrs. Abahare Surat commended the ORS brand for the tremendous support over the years.
