PSN Board of Fellows holds dinner, awards on July 20

The Board of Fellows of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) will on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Golden-Tulip Hotel, Festival Mall, Omuwo-Odofin, Lagos, by 6pm holds its 2016 Annual Dinner/Award.

The topic of the event, “The Present Economy-Impact on Pharmacy Practice.” The Guest Speaker and Strategic Management Expert at the University of Lagos, is Prof. Ben Emukufia Oghojafor, while the Chairman of the Occasion is the President, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Frank Udemba Jacobs, whose research interest has contributed immensely to the development of appropriate technologies essential for industrialization of Nigeria.

Chairman of the Planning Committee, Prof. Olukemi Odukoya, and the Chairman, Board of Fellows (BOF), Barrister Chiedu O. Mordi, said the event is expected to address how pharmacists can survive in the present economic realities.

Odukoya said the ceremony will be an opportune time to renew and discuss the profession of Pharmacy, as “we continue to grow and adapt, remaining always adaptable, motivated and responsive to the challenges of our profession.”

Three distinguished fellows: Prof. Ezzeldin Mukhtar Abdurahman; Olakunle Ekundayo; and Dr. Ifeanyi Eric Okoye are to be celebrated with awards for excellence of their performance in the profession.

Odukoya said the new fellows will also be decorated with the new Fellows Lapel pins to welcome them to the Board as a sign of respect, integrity, competence, character, achievement and commitment to the Pharmacy profession.
