Using CSR to boost community relations

Fan Milk Plc has donated a brand new bus to Federal Cooperative College, Ibadan, as part of its Corporate Socially Responsibility (CSR).

Speaking at the handing over ceremony  last week at the Fan Milk factory premises in Ibadan, the Managing Director, Mr. Hans Pedersen said his company was pleased to contribute to the development of the state.

The Corporate Communications Manager, Mr. Abam Caesar, said that the donation of the bus was a product of consensus among Fan Milk Plc, the school’s management and the Students Union Government of the institution.

The Students’ Union President, Federal Cooperative College, Ibadan, Mr. Mosaderin Mutiu Adewale said the donation shows the commitment of company to the Federal Cooperative College, Ibadan, promising that the vehicle would be put to good use. He noted that with the gesture the relationship between the company and the school would be further solidified.

The company also stated that as part of its CSR, it has started a pilot project with Lagos State to reduce the impact of plastic waste products on the environment, just as it has been partnering with the state on its Climate Change program in the past three years.
