With an impressive academic trajectory that spans three continents, Bukade is currently a Ross-Lynn Research Scholar at Purdue University’s Division of Consumer Science, where his interdisciplinary expertise is transforming knowledge production and practice in these fields.

Born and educated initially in Nigeria, Adesina earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Agricultural Economics from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, followed by a Master’s in International Development from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Purdue University, his academic journey exemplifies a commitment to advancing knowledge that addresses pressing global concerns, particularly food and nutrition security.

Bukade’s ongoing projects showcase his dedication to impactful research. As a co-principal investigator on USDA-FAS and CFDAS-funded initiatives, he investigates the cyanide-safe cassava value chain in Nigeria and consumer preferences for biofortified sweet potato products.

In collaboration with the Dairy Management Inc., Bukade is also pioneering qualitative assessments of university students’ perceptions of dairy consumption.
