Meet Titilayo Olubiyi, Director of Financial Institutions at Unified Payment Services Limited, She is a seasoned marketer with expertise in sales, channel management, and general management. Titilayo is a go-getter whose dedication and hard work have earned her a remarkable career.
Her career highlights include her role as Group Head of Business Development in the Market & Sales Directorate at UP, where she played a pivotal role in the company’s growth. She was also the pioneering group head for PayAttitude, a testament to her innovative approach and leadership skills.
Prior to her time at UP, Titilayo held key positions at renowned organizations such as UACN, MTN, Nokia West Africa, and Samsung Electronics West Africa, where she consistently delivered outstanding results and earned several performance awards.
She holds an MBA in marketing and a BA Hons in English from Obafemi Awolowo University. She is an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and a member of the Nigeria Institute of Marketing. OCHANYA DAN-UGO
As the Director/Group Chief Risk Officer at Unified Payment Services Limited (UP), Ochanya Dan-Ugo’s journey is anything but ordinary. With a career spanning several years, she has held key positions, including Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for UP.
As a former Chief Superintendent of Narcotics and Principal Staff Officer in Records Management (Intelligence) at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, she navigated the complexities of law enforcement with grace and precision—a foundation that would serve her well in her present endeavours.
Her expertise has not gone unnoticed; as a Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP) and a member of the Visa Risk Executive Council for Sub-Saharan Africa since 2012, Ochanya’s contributions extend beyond organizational boundaries, shaping industry standards and best practices.
Academically, her credentials are as impressive as her professional achievements. Armed with a Special Executive Management Certificate (SEMP) from the Metropolitan School of Business and Management, UK, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Jos, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, and a Post Graduate Degree in Humanitarian and Refugee Law from the University of Lagos, she embodies a holistic approach to knowledge acquisition.
She is dedicated to continuous professional development and has participated in various notable training programmes, including those at the American Bankers Association, School of Bank Card Management, Emory University in Atlanta, USA, Cornell University, IESE Business School, Spain and Lagos Business School in Nigeria.
Ochanya is a Harvard-trained corporate director, trained in INSEAD for strategic decision-making, and holds a Global Competent Boards Designation (GCB.D.) with a speciality in ESG.
VIVIAN OKOLO
There are individuals who stand out, not just for their accomplishments, but for their unwavering commitment to excellence. This philosophy is personified by Vivian Okolo, Director of Corporate Services at UP, whose remarkable career spans more than 20 years.
She joined the company in 1999 and has since held various key roles, including Group Head of Financial Institutions, Group Head of IT, Head of Training, and Head of Acquiring Department, where she directly oversaw the growth of merchant acceptance and played a pivotal role in the significant expansion of Unified Payment Services Limited’s merchant network, surpassing income targets.
In 2011, Vivian played a crucial role in Unified Payment Services Limited’s successful application for the Payment Terminal Service Provider (PTSP) Licence from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
With a background in Computer Science and Engineering, Vivian’s expertise extends to IT and marketing functions. Prior to joining UP, she worked at Inlaks Computers Limited as a software applications specialist.
Education has been a cornerstone of Vivian’s journey towards excellence. Armed with a B.Eng. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology and an MBA in Marketing from ESUT Business School, she has completed several management courses both in Nigeria and abroad.
These include the Senior Management Programme and Advanced Management Programme at Lagos Business School, the AMP-CEP Global programme at IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, and a certificate in FinTech from Harvard Business School. Her diverse skill set and wealth of experience make her a valuable asset to UP.
OGECHI ALTRAIDE
Ogechi Altraide’s story is one of hard work and dedication. With over two decades of experience in various areas of banking, she has shown that progress is achievable with a deep understanding of one’s craft and a commitment to excellence. Her ability to consistently deliver results is a testament to her astute nature and unwavering passion for her work. Ogechi is an inspiration to aspiring professionals, and her success story is a reminder that with perseverance and the right mindset, one can achieve their goals and make a positive impact in their field.
Before she became the Managing Director of Hope Payment Service Bank, Ogechi was in charge of the group retail business at United Bank for Africa, where she supervised the products and sales, launched the bank’s direct sales group, and managed remittances, among others. Her success in Africa led to her appointment as a Non-Executive Director of UBA in Tanzania. Ogechi has also worked with Ecobank and Diamond Bank (now Access Bank) during her career.
She holds a B.Sc. in Management and an MBA in Banking and Finance, both from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Ogechi is a Certified Management Consultant, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB), and an expert in retail sales and campaigns. Ogechi is married and has three children.
