Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expanded his ongoing 5ive Tour by adding Abuja to the list of cities that will host his live shows.
The singer made the announcement late Tuesday night across his social media pages, confirming that the Federal Capital Territory will host its first-ever stop of the tour on Sunday, December 14, at Eagle Square.
Davido wrote, “You asked for it… now it’s official! Abuja — Dec 14th. The #5iveAliveTour finally lands in the capital.”

The latest update follows the successful kickoff of the Nigerian leg of the tour in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Sunday, where thousands of fans filled the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
The event was described by concertgoers as “electric” and “unforgettable,” as Davido performed hits like Unavailable, Feel, Aye, Holy Ground, and OBO to roaring cheers.
Before the Uyo performance, Davido had revealed that the Nigerian leg would be Uyo, Yola, Enugu, Ibadan, and Lagos. With Abuja now included, the 5ive Tour will span six major cities, allowing fans across the country to experience the same world-class production that marked his North American tour earlier this year.
Speaking at a pre-concert reception in Uyo, Davido explained that Akwa Ibom was chosen as the first stop because of its facilities and peaceful environment.
“When we were looking around Africa, five places came, and Akwa Ibom was at the top of the list. You have a standard facility, that’s why we are starting here,” he said.
He added that the Nigerian edition of the 5ive Tour holds deep personal meaning for him, saying, “I’m blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go, Nigeria goes with me. But this time, I’m bringing it home. This one’s for the culture. This one’s personal. This one’s for us.”

The Uyo concert also featured performances from Nasboi and Cubana Chief Priest, while dignitaries such as Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno attended the event.
Akpabio commended Davido for starting the tour in Akwa Ibom, saying, “We have the facilities and we have entertainment-loving people.”
Governor Eno also praised the singer for inspiring young people in the state.
“You have taken your career to the zenith, and it is an inspiration to the youths that what they set their hands to do is possible,” he said.
The 5ive Tour will continue in Yola on October 29, Enugu on November 1, Ibadan on November 9, Abuja on December 14, and conclude with homecoming concert in Lagos on December 25.
