MUSON Festival 2023 Begins Amid Fanfare

The 2023 edition of the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) Festival of Arts which has as theme: ‘Resilience’ began yesterday, October 20, with Chevron festival drama, titled, Efunsetan Iyalode Ibadan, written by Akinwunmi Sesan, at the Agip Recital Hall.

The 2023 edition of the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) Festival of Arts which has as theme: ‘Resilience’ began yesterday, October 20, with Chevron festival drama, titled, Efunsetan Iyalode Ibadan, written by Akinwunmi Sesan, at the Agip Recital Hall.

The drama, which was greeted with applause by the audience, for its good performance and interpretation by the artistes, will be re-enacted today by 12.00pm and 3.00pm respectively.

Highlight of this year’s festival, which double as MUSON 40th anniversary, is TotalEnergies EP Gala Concert on Sunday, October 29, which brings to the audience the 1741 composition by George Frideric Handel, titled, Messiah, a three-hour long classic to be performed by the MUSON choir and orchestra. It will be conducted by Sir Emeka Nwokedi.
