Nigerian model and content creator Sandra Benede has emerged as one of TikTok’s leading live-streamers in 2025, building a strong following through interactive broadcasts that regularly draw thousands of viewers.

Benede, who has more than 1.2 million TikTok followers, was recently awarded the platform’s LivePro badge, which recognises creators with sustained engagement on the live-streaming feature. She has also reached Level 44 on TikTok’s gifting system, a marker of the support she receives from fans who send virtual gifts during her live sessions.

Her broadcasts, which range from informal conversations to entertainment-focused interactions, have helped boost her visibility across the platform. Several recent clips have drawn between 3 million and 4.7 million views, according to TikTok analytics reported by Pulse Nigeria.

Speaking in an Instagram Live session earlier this year, Benede said: “The live feature allows me to connect with people in real time, and that’s what makes the bond with my audience stronger.”

Social media analysts say Benede’s rise reflects a wider shift in how creators are using TikTok. “Sandra’s success is proof of how Nigerian influencers are moving beyond short clips to build sustainable digital communities,” media commentator Bayo Lawal told Channels Television.

Digital strategist Adaeze Okonkwo, speaking on Pulse Tech Talk, added that the platform’s focus on live interaction is changing influencer economics. “The economics of live content are different. Creators like Sandra Benede are at the center of this shift,” she said.

Benede, who began her career in modelling and beauty pageants before moving into fashion and digital entertainment, described her TikTok success as part of that transition. “Modelling gave me the platform, but live content is what keeps me connected and relevant today,” she told followers.
