Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC Ebonyi State chapter, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has pleaded with the people of Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi state to vote for the candidate of the party for Ebonyi North Senatorial District, Sen Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi, and Hon Eze Nwachukwu Eze of Ebonyi/Ohauwkwu federal Constituency in next year general election.

Chief Emegha was speaking during a rally organised by the party to drum support for APC candidates for the August 22 Chairmanship and Councilorship elections in the council on Saturday.

He enjoined the people to take advantage of their massive voting strength to decide the elections in favour of the APC candidates to the shame of the opposition.

He warned that the party would not entertain any excuse from stakeholders and party faithful as far as the constituency is concerned, urging the people to make the Governor and the party proud by voting for the candidates.

Speaking, Chairman of the occasion, Arch Mbam Ogodo, said their people had earlier met and agreed to vote for only the candidates of APC in all future elections in the area.

He urged the APC Chairman and the leaders of APC in the state to trust the decision of the people and expect nothing but victory for all candidates of the party in the area.

Outgoing Chairman of the council, Hon. Prince Chinedu Uburu, praised Governor Nwifuru for his numerous infrastructural projects in the area.

He noted that every community within the local government area has projects that have positively impacted the lives of the people from the government, promising to rally his people for the victory of APC candidates in the coming elections.

Former Minister, Chief Godwin Ogbaga; Principal Secretary to the Governor, Chief Mathias Adum; Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Matters and Rular Development, Hon. Stephen Igwe, and former Chairman of the council, Prof. Adaeze Nwuzor among others stakeholders promised to galvanise support for APC in all future elections in the area.

APC Chairmanship candidate for Ebonyi LG, Mr. Chibueze Odigwe, in his remarks after receiving party flag promised to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessors to move the council forward.
