… Hails Interior Minister Tunji-Ojo over group grassroots activities

A support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), BTO4PBAT, has commended the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his continued leadership, encouragement, and support for its political and grassroots activities.

According to the group, the consistent backing of the minister for its engagements has been instrumental to the strengthening of its organisational structure.

In a statement issued at the weekend by its Director-General, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, the group emphasized that Tunji-Ojo’s support had motivated members as they prepared for expanded grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Adojutelegan disclosed that the activities of the group are centered on grassroots engagement, voter education, party unity, and support for the duly nominated candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections.

The Director-General maintained that sustained engagement at the ward and polling-unit levels remains essential to building an effective and responsive political organization.

The group also announced preparations for its proposed Unit-to-Unit tour across the 18 local council areas of Ondo State, describing the initiative as an essential component of its grassroots engagement program.

The tour, according to the statement, will provide opportunities for direct interaction with residents, party members, community leaders, young people, women, and other stakeholders across the grassroots.

Adojutelegan said the initiative would go beyond political mobilization, stressing that the organization intends to use the engagements as an avenue to listen to the concerns, priorities, and aspirations of communities.

“Effective political organization must have its foundation among the people. Our objective is not simply to visit communities but to listen, engage, build relationships, and strengthen grassroots participation,” he stated.

Adojutelegan explained that the program will focus on voter education, such as Permanent Voter Card (PVC) awareness, political reconciliation, community dialogue, and the strengthening of organizational structures at the ward and polling-unit levels.

The group added that the tour is expected to enhance coordination across the state while promoting sustained interaction among its leadership, members, and communities.

It further expressed appreciation to Tunji-Ojo for his leadership and support, saying his encouragement remains important to the organization as it expands its activities across the state.

“We formally place on record our profound appreciation for his leadership, guidance, trust, encouragement, and continued support. We remain committed to conducting our activities with discipline, responsibility, and respect for the people and institutions we engage.

“We also wished the minister continued wisdom, strength, and success in the discharge of his responsibilities,” Adojutelegan stated.
