Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, Musa Iliasu Kwankwaso, has insisted that President Bola Tinubu stands a better chance to clear mass votes across the northern states in the 2027 general elections.
Kwankwaso, a former Commissioner for Rural Development, submitted that despite the evil work of mischief makers, Tinubu’s developmental stride in the Northern region will clearly pave the way for a landslide victory in the next election.
In an interview with journalists yesterday, Kwankwaso, who currently serves as Director, Finance, Hadejia Jammaare River Basin, believed the calculated attacks on the President are politically motivated to tarnish his image in the face of unsuspecting Northerners.
“I can tell you, I was part of the former President Goodluck Jonathan government, we saw how they used Insecurities, allegations of underperformance, and shared tribal sentiment against him during the election period,” he said.
He reminded that, “although late President Buhari has done his very best, it was during his time that the Northwestern part of the country experienced and continues to experience the deadliest problems of insecurities.”
