34 jostle for three high court seats in Niger
Thirty-four lawyers have submitted application for the three high court judge openings approved by the National Judicial Council (NJC), while about 24 applied for the two vacant positions of Khadis in the Sharia Court of Appeal.
Among those that applied to be high court judges include the Chief Registrar of Niger State Judiciary, Abubakar Zabbo; the Secretary, Niger State Judiciary Service Commission (NSJSC), Abdulrahman Garafini; and Deputy Chief Registrar (DCR), Administration, Aisha Wodu.
However, submission of application has since closed, while the Secretary of NSJSC is expected to transmit the list to the Chief Judge, Justice Aisha Bwari, for onward transmission to NJC in Abuja.
