The Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalagu, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in what is being described as a strategic and timely move.
Reacting to the development, the Director-General of Abuja Progressive Youths for Tinubu, Mallam Sulayman Nafiu, lauded Maikalagu’s defection as a significant endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In a statement issued, Nafiu said Maikalagu’s decision to join the APC reflects the growing appeal of Tinubu’s administration.
The statement, signed by Saliu Adewale, Director of Publicity, welcomed Maikalagu into the APC fold, encouraging him to feel at home in a party known for inclusiveness and broad-based participation.
Nafiu also charged the AMAC chairman to leverage his position to the benefit of his constituents, urging him to “use his office to the best advantage of the people in AMAC.”
Observers view Maikalagu’s move as another political gain for the APC in the Federal Capital Territory, further solidifying the party’s regional influence and bolstering support for Tinubu’s policies.
