Adamawa NDLEA arrests suspect with cocaine in car brain box
The Adamawa State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a suspected drug baron Ahmed Buba, with cocaine worth 14 grammes concealed in a car brain box along Yola-Mubi road.
Briefing journalists yesterday in Yola, the state capital, NDLEA State Commander, Mr. Yakubu Kibo, alleged that Buba is one of the notorious drug barons in the state, pointing out that his command has been monitoring the movement of the suspect since last year, gathering security reports on his illicit activities.
Kibo said Buba was charged to the Federal High Court in Yola and had been convicted for five years imprisonment.
According to him: “Many youth today are languishing in prisons for trafficking in illicit drugs, while several of our young ones are engaged in various social crimes, like armed robbery, rape and other crimes,” he said.
He called on the public and other security agencies to support his agency in its war against illicit drugs business within and outside the country.
